DEVON DAYS SHOW & SHINE/BURN-OUTS - MAY 25, 2012

Once again River of Hope will be hosting a Show & Shine event which starts @4 pm and runs to 6:30 pm on May 25th.  The registration fee for this event is only $5.00.  We will present trophies for best car, best truck, best classic, best hot rod and best bike.   Hope to see you there. 

The Burn-Out event starts @7 pm and runs to approximately 9 pm.  The registration fee for this event is only $15.00.  We will present trophies for best smoke for bikes/quads, gas trucks, diesel trucks, and cars.  We will run the event in this order.  We have limited entries per category so it is suggested that you pre-register. 

A CONCESSION STAND WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE. FREE WATER BOTTLES WILL BE HANDED OUT.

Please call the church office at 780-987-2804 to request registration forms or by fax 780-987-4385.  You may also stop by the office and pick up registration forms.

River of Hope Church has partnered with Fundscrip and now you can support River of Hope when you make your everyday purchases such as groceries and gas.  When you and your family and friends purchase gift cards which are spent like cash, a rebate goes back to the church automatically!  There is no additional cost to you.  When you order $150 in gift cards, you pay $150 and you get gift cards worth $150!  It's that simple!  Over 100 retailers are offering rebates back to the church.  You may get an order form from the church office by calling 780-987-2804.  For a list of participating retailers go to their website www.fundscrip.com.  PLEASE HELP US GET INTO THE NEW BUILDING SOON.

25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, JUNE 12, 2011

We as a church would like to invite current and former friends to celebrate God's faithfulness with us.  I hope by now you may have heard the great news.  We are getting a brand new sanctuary.  It was over 20 years ago that we had a dozen people on our 6 acre property praying and asking God to give us this land for our church.  God did just that.  By selling off 1 1/2 acres we received $750,000 and have since added to that amount.  We have enough money on hand to get the roof on the new building.  We are very excited!  We are also following through on Pastor Larry's commitment many years ago to build for cash.  There is no borrowed money being used to complete the new facility.  We want to share out excitement with you and hope that you will be able to join us this summer for our great celebration.

We want to extend to you our thanks for the time you spent with us here.  Your presence here will be a special gift to us and if you feel you want to help us finish the building by giving a monetary gift (we need $300,000 to complete it) that would be most awesome.  Thank you for your part in building River of Hope Church (previously Riverside Baptist Church) here in Devon.
